
Classroom to Career is a program designed to help build a bridge between business and educators. Through attending sessions, hearing from keynote speakers, touring area business and industry partners, and working collaboratively, teachers will continue to develop their professional practice in an effort to increase student workplace readiness. The course will be grounded in the 21st century skills outlined in the Iowa Core, specifically employability skills. This program will encourage and enhance business to education partnerships.
Class Times: SESSION 1: Friday, September 11 = 8:30-4:00 PM
SESSION 2: Friday, October 9 = 8:30- 4:00 PM
SESSION 3: Friday, October 30 = 8:30-4:00 PM
Target Audience: All TK-12 certified staff and administrators
Course Goals: 1. Participants will be able to understand the skills needed and opportunities available in today’s workforce in the local region.
2.Participants will be able to learn more about the community and its background.
3.Participants will be able to connect their classrooms with the community through meaningful student learning experiences.
Credits: Licensure renewal (one credit) has been approved through Dordt University.
Cost: $225 registration fee
$50 for licensure renewal credit (one credit)

A maximum of 16 participants will be notified of their acceptance by May 15, 2026
