Are you a detail-oriented, problem-solver with a passion for mechanical design and manufacturing? If so, this is the job for you! A local manufacturing facility, located in Sioux Center IA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting engineering operations, developing project designs, and ensuring production success through technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze field data from sales personnel to support engineering decisions.
• Perform engineering analysis and develop preliminary designs with appropriate equipment selection.
• Prepare technical specifications, blueprints, schematics, layouts, and visual aids.
• Create detailed parts lists, assembly drawings, and component documentation.
• Provide technical support to the production team and assist with manuals and related tasks.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of math, physics, and applicable regulations.
• Proficient in CAD tools; CNC and welding experience a plus.
• Ability to perform on-site visits and physically handle tasks (lift 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders).
• Skilled in organizing technical documents and blueprints.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
